Sir Alex Fergurson Calls Retires.Tribute to a Legend and Who will replace Him

On Wednesday I awoke to Surprising and Shocking News. Sir Alex Ferguson has retired after 26 years. As Dennis Law and many others said He will o down as probably one of the greatest Managers of All Time. He is to United what Molana Bham is to Madressa Zakarya, What Shankly was to Liverpool and after coming back after last years heart break against Manchester City and winning the title emphatically He will aslo go down as perhaps one of the greates Gaffers in the EPL.

Hated by Rival Fans,Loved by United Fans and in the Football World Sir Alex has been an enemy to me .Ofcourse Im a Liverpool Fan and ofcourse we hated him and Man United in those many defeats but as a Liverpool Fan I guess you have to sit back and Marvel at what he has achieved and the legacy he has left at Man United. For 26 years he started out and in 1999 his finest hour he took what was dubbed as Fergies Fledglings and made them European Champions in dramatic Fashion.

He created Fergie time in what I assume will always be known as Long stoppage times and he always pulled it off in Fergie Time. He has taken average United squads or should I say under rated and criticised United squads and converted them into Champions

How can we forget his great signings like Cantona,Giggs,Ronaldo and the likes. His precence ,antics, quotes and ofcourse his Gum Chewing techniques in the Dugout. As a Liverpool Fan we loved to see his Face in despair. But 27 trophies in 25 years if Im not mistaken he always had the last laugh

He will also be remembered as a Gaffer who took no nonsence and was never afraid of the Big Names that epotomised Manchester United. Becks,Stam,Ruud Van Nistelrooy and even Keane were shown the Door. Thats a quality you have to admire.

I remember watching a documentary once called Beyond the Promised Land. Fergie was being interviewed after that final in 1999 at the Nou Camp. He said he had told his Lads that thye had nothing to worry about at HAlf Time. Theve had a great year. They won the Double. When Sheringham equalised you could clearly see Steve Maclaren going to him and gesturing with his fingers that they revert back to a 4-4-2. Fergie said in the interview. I told Steve “This is noh fineshed. Its noh Fennished. “He certainly wasnt as The Mancs stole it in Extra Time

In the Nou Camp in 1999, On Sir Mayt Busbys Birthday it was a Party time.

Ive had a special request and this is from Man United Mamoo. This is for you Mamoo and you will miss the toppie

I have visited Old Trafford and I guess form a footballing perspective Fegie will miss the atmosphere. His tears probably will fall down on the ground where one Fna once said that For it is here that The Ghosts Of Munich Descend on Special Nights. You cna see them on the pitch.

The Battles with rival coaches is what made football. The toppie Sir Alex Ferguson certainly let his haters and opponents hear it with some special Fergie quotes

“My greatest challenge is not what is happening right at this moment, my  greatest challenge was knocking Liverpool right off their perch. And you can  print that.”-Sir Alex Ferguson. Sticking it to the scousers since 1993

If I’d tried it 100 times or a million times, it wouldn’t happen again. If it  did, I would carry on playing.”-Fergie on the infamous flying boot that hit David Beckham’s face in  2003.

He was blessed with great stamina, the best of all the players I’ve had here.  After training, he’d always be practising, practising, practising. But his  life changed when he met his wife. She’s in pop and David got another image.  He’s developed this ‘fashion thing’ – I saw his transition to a different  person.”-Commenting on the change in David Beckham after his departure to Real  Madrid in 2003.

“In the tunnel Wenger was criticising my players, calling them cheats, so I  told him to leave them alone and behave himself. To not apologise for the  behaviour of the players to another manager is unthinkable. It’s a disgrace, but  I don’t expect Wenger to ever apologise, he’s that type of person.”-Giving it both barrels to Arsene Wenger after Pizzagate, 2004.

“Sometimes you have a noisy neighbour. You cannot do anything about that.  They will always be noisy. You just have to get on with your life, put your  television on and turn it up a bit louder.”-Fergie putting City in their place with his infamous “noisy neighbours”  comment – 2009.

On José Mourinho “He was certainly full of it, calling me boss and big man when we had our post-match drink after the first leg. But it would help if his greetings were accompanied by a decent glass of wine. What he gave me was paint-stripper.”

On Ryan Giggs “I remember the first time I saw him. He was 13 and just floated over the ground like a cocker spaniel chasing a piece of silver paper in the wind.”

On Gary Neville “If he was an inch taller he’d be the best centre-half in Britain. His father is 6ft 2in – I’d check the milkman.”

On Paul Ince “I used to have a saying that when a player is at his peak, he feels as though he can climb Everest in his slippers. That’s what he was like.”

As a Liverpool Fan and Football Lover I pay tribute to one of the Greatest Gaffer of Football Today. Go Well Sir Alex.We will miss the Battles

Now the Big Question is Who will replace Him. What are your thoughts
