“Home to four of Addo’s five biomes, the Zuurberg mountains are resplendent with the beauty of South Africa’s nature. Fynbos, grasslands, forest and subtropical thicket (also known as valley bushveld) are some of the biomes the Zuurberg mountains play host to. Beyond the biomic diversity, three cycad species and two yellowwood species – all of which are endangered – can be found in the area. Beyond this, 1 100 plant species have been recorded in the area.” Look
Definitely an amazing experience. The first 8km was easy almost too easy like a walk in the park . After Otto pool it’s uphill all the way . At Otto pool there is a lovely little area to picnic 🧺. Beautiful scenic , rolling hills lush and green . picturesque and very pretty . The bonus was after the hike our permit allowed us entry into the camp housing the Elephants 🐘. We had a narrow escape with an elephant passing along as we drove by . Thrilling and scary at the same time .
