10 years ago, I remember being shattered in front of the TV watching the CROATS thrash us 3-0 in Lyon.. I remember the Great Goran Ivanisovic passing his 2 cent comments on the match at Wimbledon and then went on to win it..
Last night, 10 years later, the Ghosts of Lyon came back to haunt zee Germans.. A weak, lacklusture performance by zee tournament favourites.. Fritz and Jansen gave a good lesson on how NOT to defend.. And the 2 centre backs were looking in total disarray. It was zee German coaches 2nd defeat in 25 games so maybe it was just a glitch in the works..
Abdul Lehmann showed why he was the Gooners Nr 2 in the 2nd goal, however I totally blame the defence.. Podolski and Lahm once again were solid on the night but where is ZEE KAPITANO.. Now is zee time to come big and show heart. Podolski might move to Manchester City for 20 mil.. Will be good to see him in the Premiership..
And what the f*&% was Schweinsteiger trying. He won the ball and went back to retaliate. Now he’s banned.. And was the best impact player we had off zee bench..Bloody MUGG..
The lity Modric, who signed for Spurs is class.. Hope he does well in the EPL.. And how’s Slavin Bilic, the coach.. That oke is charismatic. Hats off to his tactics..
All in all, if u play kak u bound to loose.. Every team has their 1 bad game.. And lets hope for zee Germans it was last night.. I still say.. “ITS ALL A PLAN TO EAT MADEIRA CAKE IN THE QUARTERS”…

In the other game, poor Austria…Poland and Austria shared the points. But Germany should beat Austria

Were there 2 Austria – Germany games?
I may have missed the first one, but they definitely drew in the second game. What was the score in the first game?
And why’d they play 2 games? Was one a warm-up and the other a qualifier? I couldnt find commentary on the first game on any soccer blog.
