The WARRIOR CHALLENGE in AID OF 911 Kids for Charity-Tough Conditions but Simply Sublime
“Great Experience, Ran for Charity to raise Funds for Kids with No Limbs.
The fact that we have and health and the ability to compete after seeing some of the Kids made the day special. Crossing the line in tough rainy and muddy conditions. Simply Sublime. Definately something to Do. See all the pics and moments”
Myself,Joe Rasool,Sam did the Warrior Rookie and Marsee,Zunaid and Usha did the 21 km Black Ops. Hats of to them as it was tough. Our cause was great,The Weather Horrible…Though in a way perfect for such a race.
The spirit in this event was something Ive never experienced before. It definately epitomises the Phrase “LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND”
Everybody helps each other and if your team doesnt get you across the line. Somene else will.
Semper Fi to all the other Warriors that helped us along the Way
One of the kids that made us realise our cause was extra Special. How fortunate are we to just compete.
The Avalanche was daunting. Again we see why the phrase Leave No One Behind stands out. The guy that hauled me was immense. I came down twice and on the third time this guy hauled me up alone as I was hanging. And Im 85 kg. Myself and Joe held a guy, we just couldnt haul him up. A really daunting obstacle. It requires guile and strategy. The teams got to get the strongest two up first ,then let them haul the Rest
I tell you when I finished the MUD Monster. I was just fatigued. It drained me.
The pic shows how broken I was lol. In the third pool I was actually stuck and struggling to get out. Then a few guys pulled me out
It looks like you playing in MUD, but crawling through that sludge in the rain in four pits. I was broken. I was just tired. I regrouped however and seemed to have gotten stronger in the rain and Mud. It was so muddy that a run became a walk.If you ran you would fall. It suited me perfectly actually lols 🙂
As for the tower of terror below. You only realise how high it is till you climb to the top. My strategy. Get to the top,Read Kalimah and then just jump 🙂 🙂 🙂 What an adrenaline rush this obstacle
At the End I should have worn tights come to think of it. Battered and Bruised.Wet and Freezing. Will I do It again.
Hell Yeah. See you at Warrior 8 in Midrand.
Also a special Thank You to Sammy and Yusuf Rasool AND The team for Making a Diffrence.
