The time has come, the curtain has drawn. At the end of the season the Bianconeri will say goodbye to a Legend. Alesandro Del Piero….Whata footballer and ofcourse my Hero. I always get flak and stick from the lads but Im sure most of them know that Im a Del Man and I have always been. Someone asked me the other day, Do you only have Juve and Italy stuff in your cupboard. Truth be told Yes. lol.
From Euro 1996 a tournament which I was in Englnad I bought my first Italy kit and sharpened teh side burns just like Del Piero. On the pitch he was the new Baggio. In Euro 1996 I bought my first Juve kit also. The slong sleeve Black and White with Sony. The journey had begun for me.

I went to Rashid Cassim soon after and he gave me that massive Del Piero Frame. Form than on I Was a Bianconerro. Juventus were magical at the time…Ravanelli,Zidane, Del Piero,Toricelli,De Livio, Peruzzi, Inzaghi, Didier De champs and on the Azurri front the squad contained the best in Serie A.

Del Piero in France 1998

From then on I donned the white and silver predators and followed Del Piero with Juve and the Azurri. I know people call me biased but Skill and goals were sublime. Unfortunately I never ever got to see Del Piero live but  I know a few people that did and they say to watch him was the epitomy of a striker.

Now after almost 20 years since he signed for Padova Juve wont renew his contract. Fine he will turn 37 but many Juve faithfull slammed the board for just anouncing it like that. I mean this man is a Juves servant. A legend. His blood is black and white

When Juve got relegated to Serie B. He Stayed. I stayed with Juve and followed the journey in Serie B. The Bianconeri love him and what he has done for Juve over the years can never be replicated. Alas its time to move on. Honoured in the right way or not this exellent footballer has left me many memmories and How could I forget the winner in Dortmund when Italy Sunk the Germans. The commentator s words rang out :Delllllllllllllllllllll Pieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeroooooooooooooooo Berlin Here we come.”

What about the Back heel against Dortmund in the Champions League Final, So many free kicks, and that header of Montellas cross against Mexico in the 2002 World Cup.

These were Moggis words
“And Moggi feels that the announcement could have a negative effect on the 36-year-old.

“I don’t really understand Agnelli’s statement. I think it’s quite dangerous as this could demotivate Alessandro. This was the wrong way to deal with a player who has done so much for the club,” Moggi told Radio Mana Mana.

“I don’t know who advised Agnelli on this matter, but they’ve made a mistake. It makes no sense to make this statement right now. They should have waited until March or April.

“Alessandro is still Juventus’ best player in terms of technique, and he still causes any defence a lot of trouble. I’m convinced that he can still give a lot to Juventus.”

Del Piero joined Juventus from Padova in June 1993 and has since made over 650 official appearances for the Turin side.

After the cruciate ligament injury Del struggled. He didnt quite live up to the expectation of the Azurri but for me on my blog I say Arivadecci Alessandro Del Piero. Goodbye to a Legend and We will weep with the Juventini come the end of the season

Will I support Juve? Yes I will. Always a Bianconero
