I dont have a problem with what he said to be honest ..we live in an age where being PC go’s overboard.

Yes he could have been more tactful considering his position (how he got that position God alone knows) ..

I agree with anonymous that IK could have been more tactical.

I think that the LOC are trying to cover things up which is not necessarily a bad thing.

The other thing we must realise in local futebol is that politics takes on a whole new level. There are “clicks” that stick with one another and there is always a fight for the limelight.

Danny Jordaan to me has given his all in bringing this world cup to SA,but I think the hasad(jealousy) with the other big guns is eating them up.The problem with IK and others is they don’t like being delegated to,its that simple.

In the recent past Marks Maponyane was asked if he would consider the coaching job for Bafana if asked to which he replied that he would not if “certain people” are still incharge which proves that they are fighting for power.

I ask why else would Tim Modise also consider leaving?……All because of this I say!….The only reason the guys are not leaving is because the consider the “BIGGER PICTURE” which I think I.K does NOT

Let’s not fool ourselves and think that only local soccer is fuelled by politics. Google some of the big names at FIFA and you’ll find some interesting reading.

The WC has been given to SA and it’s our responsibility as a nation to make it a success. All organisations have their problems but the LOC problems are being blown out of proportion and we have media digging and reporting just to create controversy and sell papers.

The SA World Cup is unique simply because it’s the 1st time that a truely developing nation has been granted the hosting rights. We already have European media gunning for SA and hoping we’ll fail so it would be nice that the local people support the organisation and make it a success.

IK’s wording may not be justified but his irateness at the press is. A better choice of words would have been appropriate.

Oh, and Mini don’t discount the role that IK played in bringing the Cup to SA. It wasn’t just a 1 man show.

What IK did i’m sure most people were thinking it…sadly he def could have done it way better but the msg got out loud and clear…
The LOC is going through a tough patch but its nothing unusual in SA so every one should stop trying to hit IK down but try and figure out what he was saying (which surprisingly can be just as funny as his slip up) 🙂
