1.7 MILLION and we are out of the CAF CUP in only the group stages.
I want to stop talking about the amount 1.7 million
I humbly ask all the readers? Have we moved a step up?Has our football improved?
Against nations like Tunisia and Angola who we never feared?
Must we tell Uncle Bai Gora to go get his FIFA coaching license and we will pay hime 1 thousandth of Pereiras salary?
Azee and Seth…………..This message is to you
“If you pay a man 1.7 Million, its a tragedy that we are out so early against minnows”
Other than that its a superb Quarter Final Draw…………….

The post should read : Banyana Banyana out of Ghana ALREADY!!!

In 2 years time we have to face the worlds best.

Maybe Eskom wil save our skins with a decent blackout to cover our shame.

Why oh why is the country not upset. Had it been a local coach that produced this result, he woud have already been mob necklaced in Kayaletsha.

we hired perreira not for the african nations cup, but for the WORLD CUP!!!!!!!!!!!!

stop moaning about how much he gets paid & how we didnt qualify for the next round.

this side can only get better.

perreira has taken SA soccer from the dead to respectable as per our performances in the nations cup.

so let us all get over the whining & back our country for 2010.

    “go” bunch of nags

Mr MTN… you are a doos and your logic is non existent.

How the hell do you expect a perfomance in the world cup when you cant even qualify in the CAF.

    What a doos???

Can you really expect to score with a badaam when you cant even score with a ugly bat????

Swoosh if you can’t see the improvement in play then you’re F**KEN blind.

The okes are holding onto the ball and actually appear to know what to do with it. The Famous SAfrican problem of not having a goal scorer has come to haunt us.

You can’t deny that we created numerous chances against all opposition. Individual defensive errors cost us hugely.

Yes it is disappointing that we’re knocked out but let’s be honest that at this stage you could be bring in Lippi, Guus and any other coach, pay them 10m a month and we still wont be able to compete against the likes of Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon and Egypt. We simply don’t have players in the same class!

BTW i thought that Bhai Gora was taking over at Anfield!

abr, “go” climb back into the hole u came out of.

firstly, y the f@!$ck dont you tell us who you support ??
    we’ve been waiting since forever.

maybe you should go back to the land of your forefathers.

yes, we have been having our problems lately, but we have come a long way since 1994.

you must be the very hypocrite that reaps on the fruits of this country, yet degrades it to the fullest. why dont you put your money where your mouth is & “F” off to some other country. am sure you like the rest of the dooses that want to settle in DUBAI….or just talk talk talk.

a couple of months ago, SOUTH AFRICA didnt even look like theyd qualify for the nations cup.

this is a young side, & they’ll do us proud in SA.

I agree Bafana are holding onto the ball unlike previous encounters. It definately is better that we don’t have a local lad coaching us because we all know the politics that go on in SAFA.Constructive criticism if I may,we still need that flair…..guys that are not afraid to go that extra mile, much like Christiano Ronaldo, and finish off.Remember how some of the MANCS used to criticise him coz he used to try too many tricks. He matured quite superbly to be one of the best….So I guess I am going to be optimistic and wait…I was too emotional earlier and was cursing…PROVE ME WRONG BAFANA!

What South Korea did in their build-up for the 2002 World Cup was to bring together a group of players identified for the national squad and take them to a camp.

These players were excused from participating in the domestic league as Dutch miracle worker Guus Hiddink developed them into a mean machine.

That they finished fourth at the World Cup was proof that having them together for as long as possible was the best thing the Koreans could have done.

Given our country’s situation where club pride takes precedence over that of the national team, it is bound to be difficult to put this into place.

But we face the potential ignominy of being the first hosts of Fifa’s crown jewel to be eliminated in the first round.

And I can bet you not a single South African, even the Premiership club bosses wants that to

So, some time before the World Cup finals say in the 2009/10 Premiership season the camp has to
    be put into place.

The African Nations Cup qualifiers, friendly internationals and the Confederations Cup next year will have seen the squad playing in numerous highly competitive matches, to the extent that by the beginning of the 09/10 season the squad would have been identified.

Instead of going to their clubs they would go into the squad (their salaries paid by Safa), which would be incorporated into the league so that they could play on a weekly basis.

The squad would have to stay together in a camp, where they would undergo rigorous physical training.

And Parreira would get to work every day thus fairly earning his millions.
