ALTAAF KAZI FROM PAKISTAN

GOODBYE FAISALABAD

So my whistle stop tour of Faisalabad lasted all of just four days…It was fun though, but the dust has had my sinuses running back to Lahore for fresh air!!! Well more cleaner air maybe!!!

The Proteas were once again outplayed…I still don’t believe they have a plan to counter the Pakistani spinners in the middle of the innings…It wasn’t riveting cricket at all at the Iqbal stadium, although it was a pleasure to watch Shahid Afridi and Abdul Rehman, contrasting spinners, do their job efficiently…Pakistan’s fielding has also improved tremendously…It was the best I’ve ever seen them field…

As for Protea selections, I still believe there’s a player or two that shouldn’t be playing right now. There just doesn’t seem to be plan, however if you going to lose wickets regularly, then no plan in the world will come to fruition…

As for the rest of my time, I’ve seen some weird things in the city centre…Like all on the sub continent, it’s congested…And with so many cars parked illegally, they don’t have tow trucks to tow them away…Instead, they forklift the car up and you’ll see these forklift machines similar to the ones at Africa cash and carry taking them to the compounds…It’s hilarious…

Well I’m packed and ready to go, dreading my four hour drive to Multan in intense heat…All I know about Multan is what one SA journalist told me before…If you compare it with Ermelo, well then Ermelo is like the size of Johannesburg compared to Multan…You make up your mind!!!

CIAO for Now…

Altaaf Kazi for Swoosh0018 in Faisalabad ( which is by the way, the home of the late Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan)

Yeah some guys should not be in the side : Kallis has made only 21 runs in the first three matches of the series.

He resigned as vice captain, please leave the old dog out of the one day team. He needs about 32 overs just to get his eye in.

There is a difference between one day and 5 day cricket

Leave him out… get someone that can actually play one day
