MUGG OF THE WEEK

MUGG OF THE WEEK

Guys on the blog are calling for the man to named the MUGG. Last night I was watching IMMM ARLTARF KAZEEEE E-NEWS JHB , E-TV and critics were calling for his head. Saying that he should be dropped. He was blamed and lambasted for not speeding up the proceedings against Austrailia. For slowing it down. Others say the man is pure Class and how could you blame him. He didnt do too bad. Because of bloggers decisions Kallis is called up as MUGG of the WEEK.. What was the solution though. Was Kallis not the right man to come in one Down. Maybe they should have sent Gibbs or a pinch hitter. Esoep Bhai Montgomerry told me on Sunday Zuhr time that they should have sent Abu Bakr Mark Boucher In at three and f$%k Kallis. He bloody sold us. I got a message from Hoosain saying “What is Kallis the Sanex Man up to”. Biggy said the same. Ebie a Die hard SA Fan said different. Peter Kirsten said his say. But I want you owes to answer what was the solution. Smith and AB were fresh in the HUT. So was the man supposed to play aggresively or was the man suppose to steady the ship. What if he started attacking and lost his wicket.

Maybe Arthur said to Kallis “Go in there and let the others Hover Around you”. This will make interesting banter and I know some comments in Cricket World Cup Update pertain to this but we had to create a special section for THE MUGG as voted by the lads on the Blog. Sorry J BUT IT HAD TO COME. But Ebie I ask you is the man deserving as THE MUGG OF THE WEEK. Mombhai as the leader of the Fantasy Cricket and a neutral. I want the heavyweights responses here.

He deserves it. When you chasing at 7.5 an over after about 10 balls you got to for it. Smith and AB laid the platform. If you go out so be it, whether you lose by 90 on 190 it makes no difference. The guy let it get out of hand, and by the time kemp and pollock came it was touching 12 an over. he put pressure on okes below in the order. for years okes have been saying kallis is not a team guy and bats for himself, maybe there is truth in that!

the odi game has changed signif.no longer is there a need to hang around and build an innings because more often then not when chasing you need to score at over 7 an over and if you batting first 300 might not even be a good score.
no room for kallis in the odi. he just can’t be allowed to put everyone under presure to score around him when all his doing is playing for his average. he flipping takes a single to retain the strike. and he did this when he got to wicket smith hadn’t faced a ball in maybe 2 overs.
kemp also hasn’t proven his worth.
anyone can hit the bad balls.
he fricken plonks and then goes out.

    slogger.

I have never been a great fan of Kallis (or any SA crciketer for that matter…lol), but it has to be said that the he is a very good cricketer… and almost irreplacable as an all-rounder…

Having said that, he can’t seem to adjust his game, which probably cost SA the game against Aus…

But in his defence, his job in the team is to probably let owes bat around him… the real problem is that SA are also very ‘regimented’ (as some have already said) and unable to adjust their game-plans…

For instance… why send in Kallis when you know Aus are probably going to immediately use their last powerplay… Everyone knows Kallis takes atleast some time to get going…. with 30 balls of field restrictions left… why allow him to waste atleast 30% of that… with so many options (Boucher, Pollock, Gibbs, even Hall)… why did they send in Kallis then ?

Also, why send in Prince to join Kallis… yes send in prince to replace Kallis, but not join him…

So although Kallis played very slack against Aus… the real blame should be shared by coach and captain for their inability to change their strategy.

SA fail to learn from their mistakes, and the arrogance / stubborness of Smith and Co to change strategy and to rather stick to their one-dimensional style of so-called brave cricket will cost SA dearly later in the WC.

KALLIS IS SHIT..HE LOOKS LIKE HIS NOT A TEAM PLAYER.AS LONG AS HIS DOING WELL HIS HAPPY..COMMON THE OAK CANT BOOST THE RUN RATE..SOUTH AFRICA SHOULD HAVE CHANGED THE BATTING ORDER,YOU ADAPT TO THE SITUATION OF THE GAME YOU CANT COME IN THERE AND GO ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPT.THATS WHY THE AUSSIES ARE SO GOOD THEY CAN ADAPT TO SITUATIONS AND THEY GOT THE BIG MATCH TEMP WHICH SOUTH AFRICA DOESNT HAVE!!
