MONEY IS CONTROLLING SPORT

In recent times we can honestly debate on the following topic. I remember Phil Thompsons words at one Stage. That when the Liverpool players of the 70’s and 80’s entered the gates of Anfield they were proud to wear the jersey on that day and play with heart. Money was never in proportion to Heart and Intestinal Fortitude. I was at a wedding the other day. Sitting there talking about life. The days 50-100 bucks saw you through a movie with your chick, Ackals with your chick and petrol. All of a sudden this Uncle comes through. We call him 2.3 million. Coz everything he says is 2.3 million. He saw a house on Clifton. It was 2.3 Million. He bought a horse for 2.3 million. We got container. It cost us 2.3 bar. You bring 2.3 bars I bring 2.3 Bars.Done Deal. Anyway…….
In Conjunction with last weeks post ,cheating could be influenced by financial gain and the pressure to keep Sports Giants like Adidas,Nike etc paying. Endorsements alone offer players huge amounts of Cash. Like Becks for example. We all know that he went to LA for the money and probably a Hollywood lifestyle. If football and heritage was what he wanted he would go back to Old Trafford and be worshipped. Dont get me wrong Becks is a Marketing Phenom But a boy raised in Old Trafford and goes to LA. Just doesnt tie up. Luciano Moggi sold Juve for the pressures to win and gain Financial stardom.

A while back Dennis Bergkamp was the most expensive footballer at 7.5 million pounds. Then Shevkenko went at 32 million pounds I think. For a guy over his 30’s. This post also stems from a poll that soccernet.com is running. In spite of Chelski’s Wage Bill and spending they have lost 380 million pounds under Abrahomovic. This is crazy. What are your owes views on this

Soccernets poll stated
1 Its disgusting and shouldnt be allowed
2. Its his money and he can do whatever he wants
3. As long as Chelsea are winning I dont care
4. It will all end in tears

48% of the people said Its his money and he can do what he feels.
Look at Salaries. I mean I cant even fathom it. An average guy earns 20000 pounds a week, x 13 .A WEEK, A f$%KEN WEEK.
Look I admit I take my hat off to any footballer as it is an achievement to get to that level. But look at a guy like WinstoN Bogaarde. The Dutch player with the thick gold chain. He looks like oNE Rand or 50 c ,whatever, He did f$#%kall for about ten years and earned 50 000 pounds a week. The man refused to leave till his contract expired.

My point Ladies and Gentleman is SIMPLE. AND HIGHLY DEBATABLE.
HAVE PLAYERS LOST THE PRIDE AND HEART OR IS IT ALL ABOUT THE MONEY………
AND SEE IF YOU CAN ADD INPUT TO THE CHELSEA POLL.

THIS WHOLE COCK UP IS BECAUSE THERE ARE NO CAPS ON WAGES.THERE WILL NEVER BE AN END IN SIGHT AS LONG AS TEAMS HAVE TO FOOT CRAZY BILLS AND THE ONLY ONES TO SUFFER IS THE FAN WHO SUPPORTS EVERY WEEK BY WATCHING THE GAME OR BUYING THE PARAPHENALIA.THE FAN WILL SUFFER INCREASES AT THE GATE AND THE STORE.

In order to have a salary cap it would need to be enforced throughout europe and not in specific countries because that would lead to an influx of players opting for leagues without salary caps. I agree zobester ultimately its only the fans that suffer and its Uefa to blame, a salary cap should be compulsory because without it smaller teams stand no chance of competing, and its not only teams who find it difficult to compete but countries as well.

Look at european leagues, as soon as a talent is spotted in portugal or holland the big leagues pry them away because those leagues cannot afford to keep the player. I remember a time when porto and ajax were up there with madrid and milan but without the spending power of the bigger teams they had to let their key players go.

Chelsea and madrid are the worst of the lot, they pay ridiculous fee’s for average players, apart from chelsea no team in the world will pay so much for a 30 year old, shit arsenal refuse to offer more than a year contract for anyone over 30 and they go spending 32 mil pounds.

Some measures need to be enforced to ensure the sport doesnt lose everything it stands for because diving is a direct descendant on money, the stakes being so high in a way justifies diving and all this money will only ensure further emphasis is placed on winning at all costs and it will all end in tears

Unfortunately, money has become the name of the game. We don’t need to look far across the world to see it’s influence but rather in our own fantasy league.

How many Scum have picked Ronaldo in both their PL and CL teams even though they hate him and a week ago were lambasting him as a cheat and wish he’d die. It’s all in pursuit of the “Kleepah” for the Winner!

Some United ou’s have even committed Haraam by picking scum and they know who they are, Biggy!

I suppose if you can look at yourself in the mirror without any tinge of guilt or shame then it’s all good!

    Biggy,

    It’s all good my man.
    I can smell a treble.
I agree that Stevie G is class but we can’t pick scum. It makes your whole team Haraam, like mixing your gambling and interest cash with your hard worked for cash.

    No Barakat!
